Oscar Awards started with a performance of Nick Patrick Harris dancing and singing a Broadway style.  Everyone gave a laugh from the presentation of stars by Steve Martin and Alec Baldwin.

Chritoph Waltz won the Best Actor for the Supporting Role from the movie Inglorious Basterds!

UP won the Best Animated Picture Film.

Miley Cyrus and Amanda Seyfried presented the Best Music (Original Song) Category.

Best Music (Original Song) goes to Ryan Bingham and T Bone Burnett from Crazy Hearts.

Tina Fey and Robert Downey Jr. presented Best Original Screenplay Nominees.

And the winner for Best Original Screenplay is  Mark Boal from the movie Hurt Locker.

Oscars presented a tribute for John Hughes (1950-2009).

Best Animated Short Film goes to Logorama.

Ben Stiller, went out of the stage wearing a make up of blue same as Avatar.  He’s presenting Best Make-Up.

Star Trek won Best Make-Up award.

Best Adapted Screenplay goes to Precious by Geoffrey Fletcher.

Best Actress in a Supporting Role Category was presented by Robin Williams…and the winner is Mo’nique from the movie Precious.

Sigourney Weaver, wearing red, announces the nominees for the Best Art Director. And the winner is AVATAR.

Sarah Jessica Parker announces the nominess for the Best Costume Design.  And the winner for the Best Costume Design…the Sandy Powell of The Young Victoria.

Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner of Twilight presented a tribute for the Horror Films.

The winner for the Best Sound Mixing and Best Sound Editing goes to The Hurt Locker by Paul N.J. Ottosson.

Sandra Bullock announces five nominees for Best Cinematography.  The winner is Mauro Fiore of AVATAR.

Jennifer Lopez and Sam Worthington announces the Best Original Score…and the Winner is Michael G. Giaccino for UP.

Best Visual Effects goes to AVATAR.

Matt Damon announces the Best Documentary Feature winner, The Cove, a document about Dolphins.

Best Film Editing goes to The Hurt Locker.

Nominees for Best Actor on a Leading Role are Jeff Bridges in “Crazy Heart”, George Clooney in “Up in the Air”, Colin Firth in “A Single Man”, Morgan Freeman in “Invictus”, Jeremy Renner in “The Hurt Locker” and the winner goes to Jeff Bridges.

The nominees for Best Actress Award on a Leading Role are Sandra Bullock in “The Blind Side”, Helen Mirren in “The Last Station”, Carey Mulligan in “An Education”, Gabourey Sidibe in “Precious: Based on the Novel ‘Push’ by Sapphire”, Meryl Streep in “Julie & Julia”…and the winner for Best Actress is Sandra Bullock .

For the Best Director Category, the nominees are “Avatar” James Cameron, “The Hurt Locker” Kathryn Bigelow, “Inglourious Basterds” Quentin Tarantino, “Precious: Based on the Novel ‘Push’ by Sapphire” Lee Daniels,
Up in the Air” Jason Reitman…and the winner for Best Director is Kathryn Bigelow.
